The prize for the best presentation by a (PhD-)student was won by Bernice Hoenderboom. Amidst strong competition her presentation “Pregnancies in women with and without a previous chlamydia infection” was judged to be the best. Bernice presented preliminary results of the NECCST study, a study into the long-term complications of Chlamydia infections, which is also the subject of her PhD-thesis.
The prize for best pitch presentation was won by Naomi Juliana. Noami showed in a three-minute pitch how the research into the role of vaginal micro-organisms in adverse pregnancy outcomes in Tanzania will be performed.
Both prizes were sponsored by MDPI.
